Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service (LIRS) Standing Committee minutes and agenda (1966-1987) contain election of officers results; summary reports regarding specific areas of focus such as law reform, immigration statistics, and alien and public welfare; program activity reports; statements and resolutions; and budget discussion. The American Lutheran Church (1961-1987) was formed by the merger of the American Lutheran Church (1930-1960), the Evangelical Lutheran Church and the United Evangelical Lutheran Church.
